The company, a member of Catalonia.health, has obtained the CE marking for its surgical robotic system, a milestone that opens the door to its commercialization on the European market and marks the beginning of a new stage of growth.
Rob Surgical has received the CE marking for its robotic system ROB® Surgical Robot for urological procedures, thus culminating a clinical development process that began in 2023 with the first interventions performed at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. This certification certifies that the device meets European safety and performance requirements and allows it to be marketed in the countries of the European Union.
The ROB® system has been designed to support surgeons in minimally invasive procedures, with the goal of improving surgical precision, facilitating workflow in the operating room, and expanding access to robotic surgery. Obtaining the CE marking represents a decisive step in the company's strategy to bring this technology closer to hospitals and healthcare professionals across Europe.
This milestone comes a few months after the start-up of Rob Surgical's first manufacturing plant in Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona), a facility that will allow the production of the ROB® system and progressively increase its industrial capacity to respond to the commercial deployment of the technology.
By obtaining the CE marking, Rob Surgical begins a new phase focused on commercial expansion and the consolidation of its presence in the European market, reinforcing its commitment to the development of innovative solutions that contribute to making precision robotic surgery more accessible and efficient.
