Catalonia.health is a cluster representing companies and institutions across the entire value chain of the health and life sciences sector in Catalonia.
Works to develop a strategic plan based on:
Created in 2006 at the initiative of several entrepreneurs in the sector, Catalonia.health is made up of more than 230 companies and leading knowledge agents in R&D&I, industrialisation and management in the health sector. Its objective is to contribute to the competitiveness of companies that promote new healthcare solutions through the exchange of knowledge and experiences, fostering competition and cooperation among its members, and anticipating future opportunities to generate new business models.
One of the strengths of the entity is that it reflects the transversality of the sector and allows the creation of future synergies between start-ups and companies that develop products (biopharmaceutical, medical technologies and digital health), service companies (scientific and non-scientific), investors, research centers and hospitals.
Accredited as a cluster by the Catalunya Clusters programme (ACCIÓ) and as an Innovative Business Group by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Catalonia.health is part of the Alliance of Spanish Health and Biosciences Clusters (ACESABIO), the European Health Connected Alliance (ECHAlliance) and the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP).
