Kymos Group, a European contract research organization specialized in services for the biopharmaceutical industry and a Catalonia.health’s member, has announced the acquisition of Particle Analytical ApS, a Danish company specialized in particle analysis and solid-state characterization.

This transaction strengthens Kymos’ value proposition as a comprehensive scientific partner for the global biopharmaceutical industry. The collaboration between both companies, which has developed over more than two years, has shown solid scientific results and strong operational synergies, leading to the formal integration of their capabilities.

According to Kymos CEO Joan Puig de Dou, the acquisition brings into the group a field of expertise that was not previously part of its portfolio and reinforces its position as a full-service provider within the biopharmaceutical sector. It also expands the company’s presence in the Nordic region, an area with strong life sciences activity.

Particle Analytical CEO Søren Lund Kristensen said that joining Kymos Group creates new growth opportunities and strengthens the company’s ability to invest in new technologies.

With this transaction, Kymos Group continues to pursue its strategy of sustained growth and international consolidation. The company closed 2025 with revenue of €27 million, average annual growth of nearly 25% over the past three years, and an EBITDA margin of around 20%.

Kymos currently operates three laboratories in Europe and provides analytical and bioanalytical services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies across multiple international markets. The integration of Particle Analytical expands the group’s geographic footprint in Northern Europe and strengthens its scientific positioning in highly specialized technical areas.
