Comunicació,

Ambit Iberia, member of Catalonia.health, organized last June 3 in Barcelona a new edition of Ambit Meets: Tech Trends & Compliance in Life Science, its annual event aimed at professionals in the Life Sciences sector to share experiences, analyze trends and debate the challenges that will mark the future of the industry. The conference brought together key people from different departments at a particularly relevant moment for the sector, in which digital transformation, the emergence of artificial intelligence and the evolution of the European regulatory framework focused much of the debate.

Automation, scaling and change management

One of the highlights of the day was the round table "Operational Challenges and Scaling in the Pharma Industry", in which representatives from Andersen, Applus+ Laboratories, EasyVista, Multiplica, Appliant and Agilent Technologies participated. The participants shared experiences on business growth, digitalization of processes, operational efficiency and change management in organizations that have to combine innovation and regulatory requirement.

The practical vision of the day came from Cinfa, which presented a real case focused on the automation of its production plant in Pamplona: the company explained its experience in the implementation of new industrial technologies, the challenges encountered during the process and the impact of automation on the efficiency and productive capacity of the factory.

Artificial intelligence: from potential to regulatory control

Artificial intelligence also played a leading role in the day, with the round table "AI in Healthcare & Pharma: from potential to regulatory control", in which representatives from Roche, Meribel Pharma, Aizon and Merck participated. The debate addressed both the opportunities offered by AI to accelerate processes and improve decision-making as well as the challenges associated with model validation, data governance, human supervision and compliance with new regulatory requirements that are being developed in Europe.

In addition to the debate sessions, attendees participated in a collaborative workshop in which they shared their organizations' priorities, barriers and expectations in relation to digital transformation, with the aim of building a collective and realistic vision of the current state of the sector.
