Ysios Capital, a venture capital manager specialised in the biotech sector and member of CATALONIA.HEALTH, and Andbank Wealth Management, fund manager of the private bank Andbank, have announced a new alliance. Through this alliance they are launching the Telescope Biotech Fund, a fund with a global vocation that invests in listed companies in the biomedical sector, mainly on the Nasdaq and NYSE.

Ysios Capital will be the fund's advisor and Andbank Wealth Management will be the fund's manager. The investment objective is focused on identifying companies with high growth potential through innovation and the development of new pharmaceuticals. Ysios Capital's more than 15 years of experience in analysing investments in biotechnology allows the fund to have a strategy focused on innovation for patients, market fit and knowledge of the pharmaceutical universe.

According to Jordi Xiol, partner of Ysios Capital, “the scientific advances of the last decade are transforming medicine in areas as diverse as oncology, obesity and infectious diseases. The biotechnology sector is at the beginning of an unprecedented cycle of innovation, in which fundamental discoveries in the laboratory are being translated into innovative therapies, thanks to new engineering tools”.
