As part of the celebration of the Mobile World Congress 2024, Forbes Women has published a list of 35 women who stand out in the technology sector and who they consider worth keeping an eye on this year. Among the 35, three women who lead companies that are members of CataloniaBio & HealthTech: Anna Maiques from Neuroelectrics; Eva García Ramos from WIVI Vision; and Nuria Pastor from HumanITcare.
Anna Maiques is the co-founder and CEO of Neuroelectrics, a company specializing in non-invasive neuromodulation technologies focusing on brain stimulation and EEG monitoring for applications in neuroscience, neurology, and psychiatry. They have developed the Starstim product, a transcranial brain stimulation system. Currently, they are conducting a pivotal study for the FDA in the US and Europe to confirm the pilot results, where after 10 days of non-invasive neuronal stimulation, they reduce epileptic seizures by 47% in children and adults.
Also on the list is the co-founder and CEO of WIVI Vision, Eva García Ramos. A telecommunications engineer leading a tech company with innovative solutions for visual problems, reducing recovery time from 1 year to 3 months. Known as the "physical therapist for the eyes," they use AI and 3D to provide visual analysis and personalized improvements. Their impact benefits 40% of the population. WIVI Vision has grown nationally and internationally and is preparing to enter the North American market. Additionally, they plan to accelerate their business strategy and incorporate new talents into the team.
Among the 35 selected women is also Nuria Pastor, Co-founder and CEO of humanITcare, and second vice president of CataloniaBio & HealthTech. The humanITcare platform improves remote healthcare by securely connecting user health data with healthcare professionals. Nuria, specialized in Health Psychology and with a Master's in Neuroscience, is involved in this solution that uses AI to analyze health parameters and generate automatic alerts, all without leaving home.
