Catalonia.health has announced the appointment of Laura Iglesias as General Director of the association. With this appointment, the organisation is entering a new strategic phase focused on growing the association, strengthening connections between member companies and delivering more value to its members.

Iglesias has been part of the Catalonia.health team since March 2024, first as Business Development Manager and then as Head of Growth. Between November 2024 and April 2025 she acted as Interim General Director, keeping operations running smoothly and maintaining member confidence during the transition.

“I take on this new role with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility. I believe this is an excellent opportunity to continue working alongside committed professionals and to address the challenges facing our sector together. My priority will be to strengthen the value we provide to our members, expand the association’s national and international visibility, and above all create opportunities that drive connectivity, innovation, and growth across the ecosystem,” said Iglesias.

Iglesias holds a PhD in Molecular Biosciences from the University of Geneva and a degree in Genetics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She brings over seven years of experience in translational research and leadership in health innovation, spanning R&D in diagnostics and stem cell biology, European project management, and partnership development across biotech, pharma and digital health.
