CataloniaBio & HealthTech will hold its General Assembly on 14 February at the Oriol Bohigas Conference Room (Ateneu Barcelonès). Prior to our ordinary General Assembly, CataloniaBio & HealthTech will hold a Taxation Forum to discuss the impact that tax measures have on investors, entrepreneurs, researchers and R&D generated in the sector.
Among the aspects that generate concern and interest among our community are the improvement of taxation in the field of entrepreneurship. For all the agents involved, both for entrepreneurs and private equity funds, in the returns obtained and stock options. Also, the revision of the wealth tax on assets from entrepreneurial economic activity, which generates a double taxation of the profit and conservation of entrepreneurs' assets, thus limiting the growth of the emerging business fabric. Finally, it applies measures, such as tax credits, which work very well in other countries to encourage spending on research, innovation and technology (partially reimbursed afterwards).
The Tax Forum will be included in the events of the Health Innovation Week.
