The University of Barcelona Patents Centre is holding an advanced patent-training session entitled 2018 Chem-Pharma Biotech Highlights on Patentability and Patent Infringement.
The session will focus on defining possibilities for patenting life sciences innovations with the European Patent Office and their application in some national patent courts. There will be special emphasis on the inventive step and lodging medical-use and product-by-process claims. It will also cover strategies to handle patent infringement for pharmaceuticals and issues associated with generics.
The speakers will be Gustavo Fuster, Joachim Renken and Clemens Tobias Steins, European patent agents at Hoffmann Eitle (Munich and Madrid).
