CataloniaBio & HealthTech will hold the second edition of the Connection Day on Tuesday 7 May, at La Farga Congress, in l'Hospitalet de Llobregat. After making its debut last year, the day's programme has been extended to a full day.

CataloniaBio & HealthTech is organizing the first webinar of 2024 from the series GO International: Australia, to connect with the health sector in Australia. 

In this session, essential aspects will be addressed for companies in the health sector and those interested in getting to know the sector in Australia more closely. With a biotechnological ecosystem that is in full expansion, having grown by 40% in the last two years, and with high-level research and development centers, Australia also has a powerful bio-pharmaceutical industry, medical technology, and digital health, as well as internationally leading networks and clusters in the sector. 

CataloniaBio & HealthTech, in collaboration with the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona and the Sant Joan de Déu Research Institute (IRSJD), is organising the ninth Hospital Connection conference under the title "Unresolved clinical needs: the vision of the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu". What options does biogas offer us for the decarbonisation of companies in the health sector? The Bioenergy Cluster of Catalonia and CataloniaBio & HealthTech are organizing an online seminar to learn, with experts in the application of biogas for decarbonization, what the key aspects of this common challenge are. 

CataloniaBio & HealthTech organize the first CEO Council session of the year, where Oriol Pinya, president of SpainCap, co-founder of Abac Capital, and vice president of Barcelona Global and FemCat, will participate as a special guest. He will talk about his investment prospects for 2024.

At the next Lessons Learned session of CataloniaBio& HealthTech, we have invited 5 experts and professionals in medical devices, IVD testing and digital diagnostics, who have successfully gone through this process, and who will share knowledge and practices to achieve the ultimate goal: to offer technological advances to society to improve diagnosis and people's health.

CataloniaBio & HealthTech will hold its General Assembly on 14 February at the Oriol Bohigas Conference Room (Ateneu Barcelonès). Prior to our ordinary General Assembly, CataloniaBio & HealthTech will hold a Taxation Forum to discuss the impact that tax measures have on investors, entrepreneurs, researchers and R&D generated in the sector.

In this new edition of Lessons Learned we will share experiences of all the actors involved in the process of Public Procurement of Innovation (patients, purchasers, suppliers, practitioners, etc.) to improve it as a process to bring innovation to the patient and/or the market.

What should we focus on when looking for talent for our startups? CataloniaBio & HealthTech is organising an online seminar to find out from experts in talent recruitment in the sector what the key aspects of this common challenge are.

CataloniaBio & HealthTech is organizing the fifth CEO Council session this 2023. On this occasion, the guest is Javier Ponce, currently director general of the CDTI.

What resources do we have to protect health innovation? CataloniaBio & HealthTech, through the Internal Innovation Committee, is organizing an online seminar on industrial secrets as an alternative to patents to protect innovation in companies in the health sector.

CataloniaBio & HealthTech together with Kymos and LeanBox organise a round table and workshop on the Lean methodology applied to laboratories in the health sector. Lean is a system that analyses the way of working, planning and organising, with the aim of eliminating the waste of resources in order to be more reliable, efficient and fast. In short, to contribute to the competitiveness of the sector.

In this roundtable, we will address the critical importance of cybersecurity in today's digital age. We will explore the challenges we face, strategies to address them, and how technology and collaboration are key to ensuring cyber security. We will analyse current threats and best practices to protect information and ensure a secure and trusted digital environment. It is essential to understand and act proactively to achieve a safer cyber future for all. 

CataloniaBio & HealthTech is organising the fourth session of the 2023 CEO Council. On this occasion, the guest speaker is Xavier Prats, current president of the Patronat de l'Hospital Sant Pau.

The UnConference is the annual event to debate the future of healthcare solutions, to raise awareness, perspectives and insight on the sector’s needs and opportunities, and the best way to tackle them. This year the topic of the debate is the advanced therapies.
