Strategic focal points

CataloniaBio & HealthTech has drafted a strategic plan for the next three years (2021-2023) to consolidate the organisation and help the push to grow companies in the life sciences and health sector in Catalonia in size and projection.

The actions laid out in this plan fall under four focal points: 

Strengthening the community

Goal: to boost companies’ management skills, promote talent and encourage networking in the sector.

Actions:

• Creating and launching management programmes and learning communities that focus on the sector.
• Mapping professional skills.
• Promoting STEM vocations.
• Creating spaces to foster synergies and collaboration.

Promoting a value-added cluster

Goal: to increase value for CataloniaBio & HealthTech members, as well as the sector’s ability to grow, start new businesses and innovate.

Actions:

• Creating and launching growth programmes for startups and SMEs.
• Creating spaces to share knowledge and experiences in entrepreneurship.
• Rolling out open-innovation initiatives that reinforce companies’ innovative capacity on a national and international level.

Projecting companies towards society 

Goal: to foster the value brought to society by companies in the sector CataloniaBio & HealthTech represents.

Actions:

• Rolling out initiatives and debates that project the future of health as seen by CataloniaBio & HealthTech.
• Creating digital spaces that encourage internal and external contact with CataloniaBio & HealthTech members.
• Setting up a Workgroup focusing on companies’ sustainability.

Growing as the sector’s business association and representative 

Goal: to reinforce the operational capacity of CataloniaBio & HealthTech as a business association that represents professionals and companies in the sector, promoting and defending their interests.

Actions:

• Growing the companies with new members and strengthening the executive team.
• Promoting CataloniaBio & HealthTech activities with administrations.
• Forging closer bonds with international entities similar to CataloniaBio & HealthTech to share and understand experiences in the sector.
