Catalonia.health launches the first edition of the IMPULS Program for Health companies, with the support of ACCIÓ, to drive the sustainable growth of 10 selected participating companies
Catalonia.health launches the first edition of the IMPULS program, with the support of ACCIÓ, to drive the sustainable growth of the 10 selected participating companies. The program will provide them with tools and guidance to foster sustainable growth through innovation in products and services, promoting internationalization and enhancing their strategic capacity.
The IMPULS project is framed within the principles of shared value and aims to provide business leaders with the necessary skills to foster business expansion while strengthening the health sector in Catalonia. The program seeks to promote transformational leadership that drives innovation, enabling participants to develop strategic capacity to stimulate their growth.
The IMPULS program is specifically designed for members of executive committees or area leaders with decision-making capacity who seek to transform their organizations through the definition and implementation of growth plans, and is exclusive to catalonia.health members.
The program is aimed at companies with a minimum of 5 years of activity since their foundation, with income exceeding €500,000, who set themselves the challenge of multiplying their growth over the next five years.
The IMPULS program represents an opportunity for business leaders not only to strengthen their strategic knowledge, but also to apply it in a practical and effective way to define and implement their growth plans.
Collective learning sessions
10 participatory teaching sessions, with didactic strategies and techniques aimed at promoting an active role for participating companies in the learning process. Includes theoretical lessons, group debates, critical reflections and also practical activities to connect technical achievement with real-life issues, especially in relation to their respective companies.
Individual business strategy development work
Each participant will need to prepare a Growth Plan for the 2026-2028 period that provides significant growth, with personalized supervision and guidance from the course coordination team.
Individual plan and mentorship
Each participant will need to prepare a growth plan to be implemented in their company. The course coordination team will supervise the preparation of this plan from the beginning of the course, providing personalized attention to each participant.
Programme
SESSION 1: Ecosystem Overview and Matchmaking
An analysis of the current context of the business and innovation ecosystem, key market trends and areas of opportunity, combined with a matchmaking session to foster strategic connections and pair you with an expert mentor related to your vertical and challenge.
This session will be held in person at the PCB and will be delivered by Núria Martí from Biocat and Luis Ruiz Ávila.
SESSION 2: Strategic and Business Planning
Defining the company's vision, objectives and growth roadmap, aligning strategy, business model, resources and internal capabilities.
SESSION 3: Scale-up
A discussion with companies and experts on the real challenges of accelerated growth, key decisions at scale-up stages, and strategies for sustainable scaling.
SESSION 4: Company Day
An immersive day with visits to leading companies to learn first-hand about successful models, organisational structures and best practices in growth and innovation.
SESSION 5: Financing for Growth
An in-person session at the Hub BStartup offices dedicated to public and private financing mechanisms, the instruments available at each growth stage, and the use of tax incentives as a strategic lever for the company.
The trainers will be FI Group, ACCIÓ and Banc Sabadell.
SESSION 6: Monetisation and Market Access
Depending on the profile of the participating companies, this session will be split in two to suit the needs of each vertical. It will explore different monetisation models, market entry strategies and access to public and private tenders, aligning the value proposition with actual demand.
SESSION 7: Sales, Negotiation and Expansionç
Panel discussion on tools and strategies to drive sales, improve negotiation skills and address company acquisition processes, distributor partnerships, internationalisation, strategic communication and marketing. Panellists will include Maribel Bergés (Affirma Biotech), Nuria Pastor (Vitalera), among others.
SESSION 8: Legal Aspects for Growth
Legal key points in growth processes: due diligence, intellectual property management, strategic alliances and acquisitions/mergers, from a practical decision-making perspective.
This session will be delivered by the leading Venture Capital firm, RCD.
SESSION 9: Internal growth and talent management, acquisition and retention
Managing growth from within the organisation, covering topics such as team leadership, operational structuring, and the acquisition and retention of talent in high-growth and burnout environments.
This session will be held in person at SID and will be delivered by Glòria Forns (Burnout Coach), Julio Marco Barroso (Business Coach) and Oscar Porcel (Solutia).
SESSION 10: Shared Value
Integrating economic, social and environmental value into business strategy, aligning growth, impact and sustainability as a competitive advantage.
This session will be delivered by ClicLab, a hub specialising in societal impact.
SESSION 11: Digital Transformation and Business Intelligence
Training on digital transformation and business intelligence, and how AI is optimising these processes.
SESSION 12: Quality
A discussion session on implementing a quality culture within the company, going beyond compliance, and how this can help with strategic growth and market confidence.
Mentoring
The mentors will provide personalised mentoring to each company, acting as experts in your sector, running in parallel with the training sessions. The mentors will be selected through a matchmaking process, where you will outline your needs and ambitions.

The programme is hybrid, with face-to-face (P) and online (O) sessions.

Registration
The program is free and exclusive to catalonia.health members.
Companies interested in participating in the program to take a step forward in their growth should communicate their interest in participating before February 6th, by sending an email to projectes@catalonia.health.
The number of places is limited. If requests exceed the number of available places, a selection process will be carried out based on the program's prioritization criteria.
Obligations
Participation in the IMPULS program entails a commitment to attend a minimum of 80% of the sessions. Non-compliance will result in expulsion from the program and payment of the per-person training cost (€4,000).
