Wivi Vision raises 4 million to train vision with AI

Carla Archs,

The technology of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is opening new opportunities in various fields, improving the daily lives of many people. A clear example of this advancement is the application of AI in the field of vision, which is the focus of the company Wivi Visionmember of CataloniaBio & HealthTech and a project led by Eva García Ramos and Juan Carlos Ondategui-Parra.

Recently, the company has secured an investment of 4 million euros in a round led by Adara Ventures, with the participation of Hearstlab and existing investors such as BBVA, Santander, CaixaBank, Peak Thomas, and VC Go GMBH.

According to Eva García Ramos, this solution helps patients improve their vision and visual abilities through technologies such as AI, big data, and 3D technologies, combined with video games to perform exercises in a simple and entertaining way. Additionally, it is also useful for specialists to assess the vision of each person, both children and adults, offering precise and personalized diagnoses.

Wivi Vision has already trained over 10,000 patients with its platform, and with this new investment, they hope to expand this number. The platform is being used in 70 visual health centers throughout Spain, including optical centers, public and private hospitals, as well as various academic institutions.
