Vytrus expects to triple sales and achieve a turnover of 12 million euros by 2027

Carla Archs,

Vytrus Biotechmember of CataloniaBio & HealthTech, published its Strategic Plan for the period 2024-2027. As a result of the strategy that will guide the company's direction over the next 4 years, the biotechnology company expects to triple its sales to reach 12 million euros and quadruple its EBITDA to 5 million euros by 2027.

Vytrus has already tripled its revenue and multiplied its EBITDA by 6 since 2019. According to Òscar Expósito, co-founder and Scientific Director of Vytrus: "we are proud to have turned a disruptive technology into a profitable business that is centered around innovation and sustainability."

The strategic plan for the coming years is based on two main pillars. On one hand, Vytrus will transform into a multi-technological company in the sector of active cosmetic ingredients. To accelerate growth and reach more clients, the company will incorporate new complementary technologies to plant stem cells with applications in the dermocosmetic sector. The Vytrus team has been internally developing some of these technologies for years while simultaneously engaging in discussions with third parties to reach licensing and investment agreements that will allow the company to add products based on innovative technologies already present in the cosmetic market to its portfolio.

On the other hand, Vytrus will expand and strengthen its commercial activity, building long-term relationships with clients and bringing the company's innovations closer to the market. The company foresees a mix of organic and inorganic growth. By 2027, Vytrus estimates that 60% of its revenue will come from the current business of plant stem cells, while the remaining 40% will be provided by the newly incorporated technologies and acquisitions made.

Albert Jané, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Vytrus, mentions that "since 2020, we have built a self-sufficient business model and will allocate capital market funding to the expansion and inorganic growth over the next 4 years."
