Inteplast, member of CataloniaBio & HealthTech, was founded in 1972 and is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a leading company in the design, development and manufacture of high-performance thermoplastic solutions, with its sights set on the future in Industry 4.0, innovation, technology, quality and sustainability.  

It has grown in global presence in more than 30 countries, facilities of 22,000 square metres between La Vall de Bianya (Girona) and Klasterc nad Ohri (Czech Republic), production capacity with more than 100 injection moulding machines, product lines and a team of more than 200 professionals.   

Since 2012, the company has had the Inteplast Medical business division, specialising in contract manufacturing for the pharmaceutical, medical devices, cosmetics and veterinary industries. 

"We are celebrating 50 years of Inteplast and 20 years of Inteplast Medical with great enthusiasm and a commitment to continue working to be a high-precision plastic engineering company that is competitive in the market in terms of quality, cost, safety and reliability," explains Adriana Carré, director of Inteplast Medical and member of the board of CataloniaBio & HealthTech. 

Throughout these years, Inteplast has signed agreements as industrial partners with the main brands in the medical, automotive, domestic and electromechanical sectors and, recently, has consolidated the generational change in management. 

 This evolution has been worked on while maintaining the family business philosophy, where proximity and flexibility with customers, the team and suppliers is paramount, but seeking a balance with corporate growth and a culture of continuous improvement through lean manufacturing.   

To commemorate this anniversary, the company has organised various activities between 2022 and 2023, such as an Open Day and a party with the whole team, and a new corporate video.
