The European consortium, co-led by Ship2B Ventures, launches a funding round for Sycai Medical

Comunicació,

The venture capital company Ship2B Ventures, a member of CATALONIA.HEALTH, created a financing round with the European consortium formed with LUMO Labs through its BSocial Impact Fund to obtain funding for the technology startup Sycai Medical.

In this round, Sycai Medical has raised 3 million euros for the development and deployment of its AI-based digital medical device, which detects early cancer and premalignant lesions in the abdomen from medical images without any invasive testing.

Sycai Medical will use the funds raised in this new investment round to launch its already approved digital medical device in Europe. They also want to expand the scope of their current certified product to include liver and kidney injuries, and to validate the product in the United States and thus obtain FDA approval.

Jordi Ferrer, investment director of Ship2B Ventures, commented: “We are delighted to continue supporting Sycai on his incredible journey to anticipate and illuminate the diagnosis of abdominal cancer through images. The founding team has proven to perform above expectations. The incorporation of international investors also takes the project to the next level. It is a pleasure to be part of it and we hope to achieve new milestones as the company grows.”
