CataloniaBio & HealthTech shares best practices of the cluster in Cordoba, Argentina

CataloniaBio & HealthTech was a special guest at the second edition of the Foro BIO 2023, held this 11 October in Cordoba, Argentina. Javier Selva, CEO of CataloniaBio & HealthTech, participated with a conference focused on competitiveness policies, to explain the health ecosystem in Catalonia and the strengths of the 30 years of cluster policy in Catalonia.

The Foro BIO is a space for networking, promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Cordoba, in which, through conferences, lectures and panels, the current situation, new trends and challenges of the biotechnology ecosystem in Cordoba, the country and the region are debated. This forum is part of the clustering policy promoted by the government of the province of Cordoba. In this context, CataloniaBio & HealthTech shared the experience of the cluster programme in Catalonia, promoted by ACCIÓ, of which we are part.

This BIO Forum was part of the 11th edition of the ICT Week, in which we also participated. First, in the competitiveness panel organised by the Córdoba Technology Cluster. Javier Selva, CEO and cluster manager, shared a table with Fernando Sibilla, president of the Cordoba Competitiveness Agency, and Xavier Garcia, cluster manager of the Catalan Tech Tourism Cluster. They discussed and shared competitiveness strategies for territorial development through the experiences of the respective clusters. Together with the Tech Tourism Cluster we also participated in the intercluster workshop with all the members of the cluster programme of the Cordoba region, organised by the Cordoba Competitiveness Agency at the Siglo 21 University.

CataloniaBio & HealthTech representatives also had the opportunity to visit various centres, companies, schools and universities in the biotechnology sector in the region.
