Trifermed, member of CATALONIA.HEALTH, announces the 8th edition of the Trifermed Awards for Social Impact in Healthcare. This prestigious event, founded by professor and doctor Sergi X. Trilla, will take place on September 17th in Barcelona. The awards recognize individuals and organizations for making significant contributions to healthcare, driving forward social responsibility and ethical practices within the sector.
This year’s event will honor four outstanding winners whose work exemplifies the true spirit of innovation and dedication to improving health outcomes worldwide. They are Dr. Elena Carreras, a distinguished gynecologist, professor, and the head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital; Nuria Oliver, Scientific Director of the ELLIS Alicante Foundation; Pere Albajar Viñas, representative of the WHO’s Chagas disease control programme; and Candela (Pulseras Candela), the inspiring young girl who sparked a movement through her courage and creativity .
The Trifermed Awards 2024 will bring together over 400 guests, including leaders from the healthcare sector, academia, and beyond. The event celebrates the achievements of this year’s winners, and it is at the same time a platform for dialogue and collaboration aimed at fostering further innovation and social impact in healthcare.
