The call for applications for the CATALONIA.HEALTH 2025 Award is now open

Roser Montserrat,

The call for the eleventh edition of the CATALONIA.HEALTH Award is now open. Previously known as Bioèxit Award, the recognition joins the change of the association's brand and adapts the name to include all sector actors.

In keeping with its essence, the CATALONIA.HEALTH Award will recognise the best work of 2024 in the life and health sciences sector in Catalonia.  The deadline for submitting applications is 9 February 2025 through this form. The winning company, or companies, will receive an honorary award during the CATALONIA.HEALTH Gala (la Nit), the annual meeting of reference of the biomedicine and health sector in Catalonia, which brings together more than 300 entrepreneurs, executives, researchers, political representatives and prominent personalities. The Nit 2025 will be held on 24 February at the historic building of the University of Barcelona.

The award is aimed at organisations and companies in the field of health that cover any stage of the value chain, from the most basic research to more market- and patient-oriented initiatives. Following the association's motto, ‘Science, innovation, business’, projects that stand out for their excellence in aspects such as scientific innovation, industrialisation, international expansion, investment rounds, regulatory issues, and other key elements of the sector will be valued.

Member participation

A change in the voting dynamics implies more decision-making power on the part of the members of the association. The CATALONIA.HEALTH Board of Directors will prioritise a pre-selection of a maximum of 5 proposals, which will be voted on electronically by all members of the community during the days prior to the event, as established in the rules.

So far, the award has been given to 13 CATALONIA.HEALTH member companies over the last five years, in addition to an individual award for business career. Check out the list of award winners since the first edition in 2015:
