The association has launched two internal committees this 2024, the Internal Talent Committee and the Internal Shared Value Committee, two areas on which the members had pointed out the need to work as a necessity in the health sector in Catalonia. Both were launched just before the summer and join the three that have already been active for some time: the Internal Committees on Innovation, Digital and Business Development. CATALONIA.HEALTH carries out its activities through the Board of Directors, the Executive Team, as well as the Internal Committees made up of managers, entrepreneurs and specialists from companies and knowledge agents of the organisation.
These 5 internal committees are working spaces to bring together the needs and views of the companies and institutions that form part of them. CATALONIA.HEALTH develops its agenda and activities largely based on the results of the debates in these spaces of representation, active participation and debate where experience and knowledge are shared to promote key aspects for the competitiveness of companies in the corresponding areas of interest.
From the current committees have emerged, among others, the themes of the two previous editions of the UnConference (on advanced therapies and on AI in health). Participation in various events has also been promoted, as in the case of the digital health area, or Lessons Learned sessions have been organised to address specific topics arising from committee proposals, such as innovative public procurement, market access strategies for medical technologies or M&A operations as a way for companies in the sector to grow. These are just a few examples, as well as the organisation of webinars, training sessions, participation in other working groups in the sector, and the presentation of opportunities and opportunities for the sector to be able to work from the areas where CATALONIA.HEALTH is institutionally represented.
What are the dynamics of the internal committees?
They are collaborative spaces for co-creation, to promote and decide on initiatives and/or actions of interest to the association, positioning, informing and training our members. They are made up of at least 6 people, of which 2 are chair and vice-chair, and are coordinated by the CATALONIA.HEALTH internal team. They meet for one hour, monthly and virtually, except for an annual meeting of all committees in person.
