Capital Cell, Big Ban Angels and BioHub Valencia to invest €2 million in best Covid-19 business projects

Comunicació,

Capital Cell, Big Ban Angels and BioHub Valencia are launching a call to invest in business projects to fight Covid-19. The total investment will be up to €2 million in 3-5 projects. The deadline for applications is 3 May 2020.

“They will be investments with social impact, with good potential for return on investment and shifting from an economic model based on growth to one focused on care,” explains Daniel Oliver, CEO of Capital Cell, a crowdequity platform and CataloniaBio & HealthTech member.

The initiative is geared toward projects that help improve diagnosis and treatment of patients, focus on managing the disease from a healthcare and protection standpoint, and work to define and implement public health measures, both for the current pandemic and similar episodes in the future.

Daniel Oliver expects “a lot of money will shift in the coming months from low- or negative-impact investment to high-impact, high-innovation sectors like health.”
