A total of six Catalan companies are among the beneficiaries of PERTE in the section for cutting-edge health. The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism has published the provisional resolution of the PERTE with a total of 17 companies included in the list, of which six in Catalonia and three members of CataloniaBio & HealthTech: Biorem, Medichem and Vecmedical.

Catalonia is the most benefited by the line of aid to strategic projects for the industrial transition of the pharmaceutical sector, ahead of Castile and León (with 4 companies) and the Basque Country (with 3 companies). The 17 companies have been selected from a total of 26 applications, from 24 companies.

Regarding the projects, for Medichem, the resolution focuses on reducing the waste and polluting elements of the Celrà plant. Vecmedical proposes to fund the development of a washing automation system for patients with urological pathologies. And Biorem has provisional approval for the "Cell4DPharmaFab" project, the design of an automated, robotic, and digitized solution for the industrialization of tissue and organ manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry.

The list published this Monday is the provisional resolution, so companies can make allegations. After this period, the Ministry of Industry will publish the final aid proposal.
