GO International: Germany

Online

CATALONIA.HEALTH organizes the first GO International of 2025 with a German destination. In this webinar, you will be able to connect and learn more about the health sector in Germany.

This session will address essential aspects for companies in the health sector interested in learning more about the sector in Germany, which has one of the most advanced and diversified life sciences and healthcare ecosystems in the world. Predominant subsectors include biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and digital health.

Currently, the sector is undergoing significant expansion, driven by digitalization and innovation in medical technologies. Investments in research and development are high, as they have strong government support and a solid infrastructure that encourages innovation. Among the opportunities of this ecosystem are international collaboration, the entry of new companies into the market and growth in areas such as personalized medicine and digital health solutions. With a highly skilled workforce and a network of top-notch research institutions, Germany remains a leader in the life sciences sector in Europe.

This session will be conducted by Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI), the foreign trade and inward investment promotion agency of Germany, which are experts in connecting Germany companies with the world and vice versa. Also, we will count on the presence of BioM Biotech Cluster Development GmbH, a non-profit network organization of the biotechnology industry in Munich and Bavaria that fosters a unique ecosystem for innovation, growth, and value creation in medicine and biotechnology. BioM connects relevant partners and supports Bavarian biotech companies at every stage of their development. The Bavarian Biotech Cluster includes over 520 biotech and pharmaceutical companies, focusing on innovative therapeutics, diagnostics, and technologies, particularly for personalized medicine. We will have Neuraxpharm, a European leader in pharmaceuticals for disorders affecting the central nervous system (CNS), including both psychiatric and neurological disorders. In 2016, they started the acquisition of Spanish and German companies specialized in CNS, which has contributed to the growth and expansion of Neuraxpharm in Europe.

Finally, we will have the intervention of ACCIÓ (Catalonia Trade & Investment), which is the business competitiveness agency of the Generalitat de Catalunya and supports the internationalization of Catalan companies. They will speak from the Germany office, which fosters ties between Catalonia and Germany, focusing on key sectors such as health, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and health innovation, among others.
