Fira Barcelona is hosting the session Biotechnology: transforming the industry to respond to the great social challenges, on 19 June in Madrid, under the framework of the international event Expoquimia 2020.

The event will bring together traditional industry and biotech companies to promote knowledge of biotechnology and collaboration among companies. The convergence of industry and biotechnology generates new products and opens up new markets, but it also changes production methods, generating sustainable materials and improving processes.

The welcome ceremony will feature Pilar Navarro, director of Expoquimia, and Ion Arocena, general director of the Spanish Bioindustry Association (Asebio).
