Onalabs opens three investment lines to develop its sensory bioengineering devices

Comunicació,

Onalabs, CataloniaBio & HealthTech  member, launches a round of investment of 1.2 million euros to develop two digital devices for home hospitalization of chronic patients and sports medicine based on sensory bioengineering. The devices act as microlaboratories turning the skin into a data platform. The company, which has already raised an equal amount on competitive funds, has launched three different private investment  channels: Onalabs Investment, direct investors and the international  crowdfunding platform Crowdcube.

The injection of this capital should allow to accelerate the market launch of two of the three devices under development by Onalabs in the first half of 2022: one to remotely monitor the vital signs of complex chronic patients hospitalized at home; and the device aimed at measuring the performance and physical condition of athletes by monitoring the level of lactate in sweat. Both are currently in the validation process; the third wearable, aimed at diabetic patients, is in the laboratory phase.

Founded in 2016 in Barcelona by Elisabet del Valle and Xavi Muñoz, COO and scientific advisor, respectively, Onalabs is focused in the development of three digital devices aimed at remote control of complex chronic patients hospitalized at home, athletes and diabetic patients.
