Onalabs and Barça Innovation Hub present ONASPORT, a non-invasive device to optimise performance and prevent injuries

Carla Archs,

Onalabsmember of CataloniaBio & HealthTech, announced the pre-commercial launch of the ONASPORT device, in collaboration with the Barça Innovation Hub (BIHUB), responsible for fostering and promoting innovation in the field of sports.

This advanced non-invasive device in the form of a chest strap records, processes and displays, in real-time and continuously and remotely, the level of lactate, electrolyte loss, dehydration through sweat and heart rate.

ONASPORT is presented as the disruptive solution to allow its users to access the biomarkers that will enable them to manage their sports performance more efficiently and optimise their effort to prevent injuries. Primarily aimed at endurance and team sport athletes, technical directors and coaches, the device stands out for its intuitive interface and accessible functionalities, which also make it a valid option for amateur athletes seeking to improve their sports goals.

The device has been tested in reference entities in the sports field such as INEFC-UB, CAR Sant Cugat, the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia and the Velòdrom d'Horta. Onalabs, which has also had the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Government of Andorra and the Andorra Research and Innovation Foundation (AR+I), plans to commercialise more than 5,000 devices during 2024 through the B2C model, and is open to collaborations with distributors (B2B2C).
