GENESIS Biomed consolidates as a key player in the national healthcare innovation ecosystem

The biomedical consulting firm GENESIS Biomedmember of CATALONIA.HEALTH, will close in 2024 with an accumulated turnover of 9 million euros since the start of its activity in 2017. In addition, it has developed a total of 385 projects for 220 clients 

In the last seven years, GENESIS has promoted public-private collaborations with the creation of more than 50 spin-offs and startups from the academic, scientific and health fields, and has contributed to close a total of 21 rounds of financing, raising more than 80 million euros. Likewise, as of 2024, they have participated in more than twenty training programs, investment forums, networking days and innovation support events and have been part of European consortiums.  
 
As a complement to its activity, GENESIS Biomed has invested in high-impact embryonic phase projects in order to valorise them and attract a first round of seed investment (Series A). In order to accompany these projects to achieve effective transfer to the market, the company has expanded the endowment of its second investment vehicle GENESIS Tech Transfer Boost to 1.2 million euros, through the incorporation of a new investment partner, Pinono company.  
 
Josep Lluís Falcó, CEO of GENESIS Biomed, stated that “The differential value of GENESIS Biomed are the two fundamental pillars on which our corporate strategy is based: helping entrepreneurs to generate the maximum value of their R&D projects in biomedicine, and promoting, at the same time, the investment in health that investors expect and demand from society. At the same time, we are working for other agents in the health ecosystem, such as large companies, investors, public institutions, hospitals and research centers, working on business plans, strategic plans, market studies, regulatory roadmaps, investment analysis, project evaluations and support in incubation and acceleration processes, among others.”
